In Search for a Sustainable Life

As a result of Britain’s exit from the European Union and the shift of political borders, it has put the farmers of the UK in a tricky situation in terms of the supply of seed. The source of many foods.

Sinéad and Darren

In this ongoing project, I follow Sinéad, the Seed Sovereignty UK & Ireland Programme Manager at The Gaia Foundation and Darren, a part-time carer while studying to qualify as a Nurse as they conduct their way of life, of part self-sustainability on their small home farm in Aberdeen. They try to be as independent as possible, growing as much as they can for themselves while at the same time diving into the world of seed revival. I also take a look into their own life on a personal level. What are their routines? How do they juggle managing to fit in the care of the garden and crops while also working full-time, busy jobs?
