Rebecca Russell
Graduated with BA Photography at Napier University, Rebecca Russell is a 23 year-old, Scottish, Coatbridge-born Freelance Documentary Photographer based in Edinburgh.
With a close eye for detail, Rebecca thrives on creative photographic storytelling and enhancing work through a focus on light and composition while using the environment around her to strengthen the story she documents. She pays careful attention to matters that have meaning on a large scale but also personal level which only elevates the quality and passion which floods into the work.
She conveys the importance of covering themes such as identity and culture through her documentary work and she uses her roots from her hometown as a strong inspiration for her current work today while connecting to projects she documents.
Through education and various projects such as “In Search for a Sustainable Life” and “Wedding in the Shire”, Rebecca has gained experience in many areas that contribute to the creation of her photographic work.
